The first requirement while filing a trademark application is to identify the proprietor of the trademark. According to Section 18(1) of the Trade Marks Act,1999; Any person claiming to be the proprietor of a trademark and is desirous to register it, can apply in writing in the prescribed manner to the Registrar for the same.
